1. We all know that cheap alcohol in supermarkets is having severe consequences for the NHS The rising cost of treatment due to widespread alcohol abuse as well as crime and disorder. We are determined to take action to tackle binge drinking in our towns and cities but we are also clear that we will not take action which impacts unfairly on the majority of responsible drinkers. A minimum unit price would risk doing that. So we are acting to get rid of the things which do directly contribute to binge drinking – banning irresponsible promotions like speed drinking competitions, ensuring that in pubs and clubs people are offered a choice of drink sizes and of course we are cracking down on anyone selling alcohol to children.

Life Insurance at 60 Years Old

At 60 years old you are approaching retirement or maybe you’ve retired already. At his age your needs for life insurance are very different than when you were in your 30s, 40s, and 50s. If you have some health issues or you just want enough life insurance to cover your final expenses, then you should consider a simplified issue whole life policy. Simplified issue means that you don’t have to go through a medical exam. The application is basically a set of yes or no health questions. These policies are available for ages 50 to 85 and the face values range from $3,000 to $50,000.

For example, a 60 year old female will pay about $80 per month for $25,000 worth of whole life and a 60 year old male will pay around $100 per month. The advantage of whole life insurance at age 60 is that it’s permanent insurance and your rates will remain level for life.
